Behalve voor uitvoer in de vorm van regeldruk, bestaat er, vooral in
Groot-Brittanië, veel belangstelling voor catalogi geproduceerd via COM
(computer output microform). Ze worden gewoonlijk vervaardigd ofwel als
fiches (105 x 149 mm -, verkleind in 24, 42 of 48 maal) ofwel als films (op
spoel of in cassette ; 16 mm ; verkleind in 24 x ). COM is waarschijnlijk de
goedkoopste vorm van catalogusproductie,7 8 goedkoper zelfs dan uitvoer in 7 8
