Que de fois Liége, Namur, Dinant furent détruits et pillés par les armées! S'il ne reste plus de vieux monuments à Namur, n’est-ce point un crime de plus à imputer à la guerre? Et cependant aprês Vincendie et la dévastation, la cité se relevait com- me ressuscitée et ses habitants, tenaces et laborieux, lui redonnaient une nouvelle vie.
