V. and Child with the 3 Magi and the Abp.y « kneeling with S. Peter. : a Chapel of S. John: The stained glass, repr. the 8 beatitudes, scenes from the life of S. Paul, and the glories of the B. V., is. of the XIV cent. The:reredos of the altar, 11 ft. by 9, for merly in the church of S. Clare, is divided into 24 compartment repr. the principal events in the life of our Lord, XI!1 cent. Her is the tomb of Abp. Conrad of Hochstaden of black marble wit recumbent effigy in bronze, the sides are adorned with modern statuettes by C. Mohr. Chapel of S. Maternus: The stained glass repr. scenes from ™ the lives of Saints connected with Cologne. The superb Reredos repr. the Passion of our Lord and scenes from the life of S. A: lolphus, 1521, was brought hither from the Church of S. Margaret.) Here are the tombs of Richeza, Queen of Lothaire IT, d. 1057, 7 and of Abp. Philip of Heinsberg, d. 1194, whose recumbent effigy is surrounded by a battlemented wall with towers and gates to signify that he built the walls of Cologne. / Chapel of S. Engelbert : The stained glass is by L. Schinidt, ¥ 1850. Here is the monument of Count Antony de Schawenberg, @ d. 1888, of marble and alabaster in Renaissance style. 2 N. Ambulatory: Over the altar is a very anct. crucifix; the iron railing dates from 4361. The fine tomb opposite to the door of the Sacristy is that of Abp. Engelbert IIL, d. 1368.
