. Severin, was rebuilt by Abps. Pilegrin and Herimann, XI cent.
ofthe Choir and Trans. are late Romanesque; the S. wall of the
ifatter is pierced by a large window of XV cent.; the Sacristy and
(2) slender square Towers that flank the choir are early 2nd poit-
:Jid; the Nave, Aisles and handsome square W. Tower of brick,
fifvith octagonal turret at itsS. W. angle, were erected 1349-1414.

vw (f which is pierced by triple lancets; here are 2 anct. altars,
{ Discina,. a credence and a painting in distemper repr. the Cruci-
igxion with SS. Mary, John, Peter, Severin, Paul, Apollonia and
ngels, 1287; also.a fine iron branch for lights, RV cent. Choir:
‘ehind the high altar, resting on 6 slender columns of marble, 2
f which retain their original gilt caps, is the wooden shrine of
S. Severin; (the metal one given by Abp. Germain in 1091,
verished in the French Rey.). Here are also an anct. Rood,
Hond a reliquary Cross of copper gilt richly engraved, XI
ent.; a seated figure of S. Severin of copper gilt, XV cent.; an
impul Reliquary, XV cent; an Aumbrye, 1384, carved stalls,
(ILMIIE cent., a brass eagle lectern, XIV cent.; and 2 side-panels of

, Gform church with a facade rebuilt in 1716. It originally belonged
